The ski area revolves around the Ciampedie, a natural terrace at an altitude of 2000 m, which offers an exceptional view of the Dolomites of Val di Fassa. The slopes, facing Catinaccio, can be reached by cable car from Vigo or from Pera with the "Vajolet" and "Pian Pecei" chairlifts.

Slope and lift details
Ciampedie is the central point ski area. It is an enchanting natural terrace located at an altitude of 2000 m from which people can admire a fascinating panorama over the Dolomites of Val di Fassa: the Catinaccio/Rosengarten (Rosen Garden in German) - belonging to the Unesco World Heritage, the Vajolet Towers, Sassolungo, Sella, Pordoi, Marmolada, the ridge of Costabella, Buffaure and Monzoni mountain chain.
A small paradise, well sunny and sheltered from the wind, with 13 km of slopes, some of which are very easy and recommended for beginners. Some others are more demanding, such as the "Thöni", dedicated to the ski champion from Alto Adige, which starts from the plateau of Ciampedie and goes down to the village in broad sweeping curves.
The black slope called "Tomba", almost 1 km long, is a run for real professionals; it honours the ski champion from Bologna, for many years an ambassador for Val di Fassa, who would train here before Ski World Cup races.
Ciampedie ski resort is especially suited for families. Here children, both skiers and non-skiers, can have fun at the Kinderpark, managed by the Vigo di Fassa Passo Costalunga Ski School. Meanwhile, lovers of walks in the snow can reach "Pian Pecei" and from there continue towards Gardeccia.
From the Catinaccio ski area you can set off on the Panorama Ski Tour: there is a ski bus service from Pera to the valley station of the cabin lift Buffaure in Pozza.
