Skiing under the starry sky
Still active and performing after a ski day? Feel the thrill of night skiing at the Ski Stadium Aloch in the centre of Pozza!
The lighting system with wide-beam lights allows you to train and satiate your desire for skiing two evenings a week. You can challenge yourself on the World Cup’s black slope (1 km), as well as on the red variant (630 m), with less demanding gradients. By taking advantage of the Val di Fassa/Carezza, Valle Silver and Dolomiti Superski multi-day ski passes, or by purchasing the tickets directly at the start of the three-seat chairlift, you will have a unique experience, especially on full moon evenings!
Thanks to the project "Piste Azzurre" ("Blue slopes" in honor of the official colour of the national Italian sport teams), in partnership with F.I.S.I. (Italian Winter Sports Federation), this sports facility, in the heart of the village, is the only one in the Dolomites that during the day can be reserved for the training of the athletes of the Italian National Team, but also of the local and non-local ski clubs, of military groups, of foreign teams and athletes of international importance. But it’s not only a matter of Alpine skiing. The snow of the Ladin valley is chosen by World Cup professional snowboarders too.
The black slope "Aloch", known for its wall, with a maximum gradient of 49% is certified by FIS to host alpine skiing giant slalom and slalom competitions. Thanks to its technical characteristics, the local ski arena has been chosen to host the 2019 Alpine Junior World Ski Championships and it's also the location of the European Cup’s men’s slalom and of the Baltic Cup, as well as a privileged location for the end-of-season tests.
