Since 1946, the Monti Pallidi di Moena sports union has been following children and teenagers in 5 different disciplines, from football to skiing.
The objective of the company, affiliated with Fisi, is to introduce children to physical activity and to support young athletes in a path not only of sport, but also of personal and relational growth. There are five sectors of reference for about 400 members: athletics, football, downhill skiing, Nordic skiing and snowboarding, each of which manages training and trips, as well as scheduling courses and competitions.
Over the years, Monti Pallidi has grown generations of Moenesi, some of whom have become true champions: from Renzo Chiocchetti, who died in 2020 and to whom today the scholarship for thirty deserving athletes is named, to Cristian Zorzi "Zorro", from Cristian Deville to Mirko Felicetti, from Giovanni Ticcò to Alessandro Chiocchetti, Simone Mastrobattista and Caterina Ganz. Many others have become ski instructors, coaches, mountain guides and collaborators who, on a daily basis, support this reality. Country competitions have become regional, national and international, leading the association to engage with major partners. In addition, it organises events such as the Giro de le Notole, Neve Notte Fondo Fest, the Trofeo dell 'Alpino and the end-of-season social festivities; it is a reference for the snowboarding sector in the management committee of the Valligiano Ski College; it collaborates with the Marcialonga, Grandi Eventi Val di Fassa committees and cable car companies; it supports football teams in summer retreat; it manages the C. Benatti sports centre, at the entrance to the country, where training takes place.
