Ski Team Fassa: tradition, innovation and growth of the champions of the future.
Ski Team Fassa is not only a gym of champions, but for over 40 years a large family that shares a passion for skiing and mountains, a place where sporting dreams come to life. Founded in 1980 by Alceo Pastore - who built the first lift to the Pordoi Pass at the end of 1964 - it is a reality strongly rooted in the valley, thanks also to the continuous support of families, local institutions and cableway companies. The main objective of the club is to develop skiing as a means of personal training, not only to compete, but also to educate young people on the values of Fair Play, fairness and mutual respect.
A fundamental part of the work of athletic trainers and coaches - some are even called by national specialty teams - is dedicated to young people. The Fassa Ski Team manages with great care and professionalism the Baby, Puppies, Boys and Pupils categories, following their path from the first steps on the slopes. For the older ones, in the Youth and Aspiring categories, the company actively collaborates with the Ski College of Pozza, one of the seven institutions in Italy that allows children to combine sports and school growth. The technical and logistical management of these categories is entrusted to a team of experts, under the careful guidance of President Paolo Cemin and Vice President Chiara Costazza, a former international level athlete with four Olympics behind him.
In addition to competitive preparation, the Fassa Ski Team offers numerous other activities for all levels: the intensive Ski Clinics to refine the technique, the summer camps, the ski week in collaboration with the local ski schools, the Energy course aimed at high school students who can experience skiing during the weekends, combining fun and technical improvement. Finally, there are lessons in freestyle, snowboarding and cross-country skiing.
In the rankings drawn up annually by FISI, the Fassa Ski Team is always ranked in the top positions among civil societies not belonging to military sports groups. This success is the result of a constant commitment that takes into account not only the excellent seasonal competitive results, but also the quality of the organization and youth participation, thanks to about five hundred members. They are always at the forefront of supporting national and international sporting events.
Which champions have grown up in the Fassa Ski Team? Names such as Chiara Costazza, Stefano Gross, Federico Liberatore, Monica Zanoner and Amelia Rigatti Di Grazia for alpine skiing, Caterina Carpano for snowboard cross, Jannes Deberto for freestyle ski cross.
