Lying on the rock, at the foot of the legendary Vajolet Towers, the refuge, open only in the summer, is a mecca for mountaineers and hikers.
A reference point also for the kind welcome of the owner Valeria Pallotta, able to put guests at ease, especially when they sit at the table. The recipes, prepared with as fresh and local ingredients as possible, are the tastiest of the Ladin, Tyrolean and naturally Italian traditions. Canederli, polenta cooked in copper pot and, of course, typical desserts such as apple strudel, Linzer Torte and Kaiserschmarren stand out. The bar and restaurant are always open, guaranteeing a warm dish even in the afternoon, with a selection of proposals from a small menu.
For those who want to experience a night at high altitude, immersed in the peace and silence of the Dolomites under a starry sky, the refuge offers accommodation in private rooms or shared bedrooms, flanked by completely renovated bathrooms, with toilets and showers with hot water.
