At Pian Schiavaneis, at 1850 metres, at the foot of the mighty walls of the Sella and with the fascinating glimpse of the nearby Val Lasties, is the Rifugio Monti Pallidi.
It is an experience that deliberately stands in contrast to the hectic rhythms and routines to which we are irremediably exposed: here the absence of connection to modern technologies represents an opportunity to relax and fully experience nature and the relationship with other people, in one of the most spectacular contexts in the Fassa Valley. The refuge, located at the foot of Piz Ciavazes and Sass Pordoi, along the road that goes up to Passo Sella, in winter allows you to quickly connect to the Sellaronda ski tour, while summer is a point of strategic importance for those who love hiking and climbing. A short distance away there is even a rock gym and enchanting waterfalls, guarded by cute marmots.
It is advisable to eat outdoors, in summer, to enjoy the surrounding landscape and enjoy excellent local specialties: from the cutting boards of local cured meats and cheeses, to strangolapreti, canederli, carne salada, goulasch with polenta and sauerkraut, eggs with speck and potatoes. Great desserts too, especially homemade tiramisu. Monti Pallidi also offers traditional Italian dishes, vegetarian and celiac recipes, salads accompanied by Trentino and national wines. In winter, you will appreciate the panoramic windows of the dining room which, if necessary, is heated by a large fireplace. The property, with ample parking, accepts large pets on the terrace.
