Just up from Pecol, there is the Rifugio Ciampolin. In the winter it is at the centre of the slopes of the Belvedere ski area (which can also be reached on foot), while in the summer it is surrounded by green meadows.
The property, well furnished inside, is in a panoramic position, so much so that it boasts a large terrace with tables outside where you can enjoy its excellent culinary offer, and then relax in the sun, on the deckchairs that invite you to contemplate the surrounding area. Ciampolin offers traditional Italian and Ladin cuisine, with several typical dishes such as canederli (to taste), soups and many other dishes, including those dedicated to vegetarians, always very well taken care of. Of note are the grilled meats, a must of the refuge, and also the pizzas that, especially in winter, are churned out from late morning until late afternoon, also as an accompaniment to the aperitifs to be sipped before returning from the slopes. The dishes, which can be enjoyed both at self-service if the break at the table is reduced, and in the restaurant rooms if you have time, are also accompanied by Trentino and national wines and craft beers. It is the only refuge in the Alps where you can admire a collection of over 2000 surprises of Kinder eggs.
Ciampolin accepts medium-sized animals indoors and outdoors, even large ones.
How to get there
In summer it can also be reached by a short detour on the road from Canazei to Passo Pordoi.
