Easily recognisable by its white and blue colours, it is one of the first shelters to befound just outside the Ciampedie cable car arrival station.
The Alpine garrison was built in 1912 by the Leipzig section of the Deutsche und Österreichische Alpenverein and, at the end of the First World War, passed to the SAT, the Tridentine Mountaineering Society. The great pioneers of mountaineering, from the fassani Tita Piaz, Luigi Bernard, Luigi Rizzi, to Paul Grohmann, Paul Preuss, Francis Fox Tuckett and Georg Winkler, stopped here numerous times, contemplating from the terrace the spectacle of nature, when, at dawn and dusk, the peaks of the Catinaccio are tinged with the colours of Enrosadira. Jacobo Bernard di Vigo, who at only 22 years old won the title of youngest refugee in Trentino with the management of Vallaccia, in Val Monzoni, does the honours of his home. The refuge is a guarantee of hospitality, of an authentic, abundant and quality mountain cuisine. On the other hand, you know, the mountains make you hungry!
