The object of an important restoration and expansion, between 2018 and 2021, the Rifugio Boé is today one of the flagships, for architectural and technological solutions, of the Sat (Società Alpinisti Tridentini) which owns it.
The refuge, managed for over thirtyyears by the Vaia family, is located at 2873 meters on the Col Toron and is reached in summer from the Sass Pordoi along path no. 627, through a landscape with a lunar charm. From the outdoor tables, but also from the windows of the modern restaurant, you can admire the Piz Boè while tasting the specialties of the refuge ranging from Italian, traditional Ladin and vegetarian cuisine. Do not miss the canederli, prepared according to the recipe of the grandmother of the family, with polenta and melted cheese, which at this level takes on an exceptional flavour. Among the desserts, the strudel is excellent. For those who want a short break, on the other hand, there are sandwiches and fast dishes.
The shelter houses medium-sized dogs (11-25kg) inside and large dogs outside.
