At 1880 metres above sea level is the Malga Jumela. Whether you reach it on foot from the panoramic Buffaure (following a path, mostly in the woods, downhill) or from Pera (along a gradually ascending forest road), the hut is an excellent refreshment point that is wise to take advantage of.
The foods are all genuine, starting with the chopping boards of cheeses of different qualities "home made", to continue with the local speck, yogurt, with berries, honey and nuts, cakes prepared with zero-kilometre ingredients. These proposals, ideal for an invigorating snack, are accompanied for lunches or dinners (by reservation only) by first courses such as canederli, potato gnocchi, ravioli with herbs and fondue or spaghetti with mountain herbs, and second courses such as eggs with potatoes and speck, cheese omelettes, grilled meat, vegetables and fresh salads. Everything can be enjoyed in the cozy hall of the hut, but also at the outdoor tables from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the peaks of Fassa and the nearby meadows where cows, goats, donkeys and horses graze. From June to September, Mrs. Lucia organizes many activities for the children, to make them feel first-hand the activities of the hut.
