The Electric Consortium of Pozza di Fassa (CEP), founded in 1914, is a historic cooperative that produces and distributes energy, supporting the communities of the Fassa Valley for over a century. With the historic hydroelectric power plant in Val San Nicolò and the modern Soraga and San Nicolò I and II plants, built between 1980 and 2013, the CEP provides clean and reliable energy to the towns of Pozza and Vigo. Since 2017, thanks to the acquisition of the Pera, Muncion and Soraga lines, the consortium has expanded its coverage to the entire valley centre. Added to this expansion is the installation of the fibre optic network, which guarantees residents a stable, efficient and ultra-fast internet connection, responding to new connectivity needs. With a renovated headquarters in Pozza and a team of about ten employees, CEP is actively committed to eco-sustainability, promoting innovative solutions such as the construction of photovoltaic systems and adapting to the energy challenges of the future and climate change. The Consortium also supports local families with reduced rates and contributes to the community by supporting cultural, sports and social projects.

A recent step towards innovation is the creation of the first energy community in the Fassa Valley, a pilot project that actively involves the school and strengthens the sense of belonging and collective commitment to the territory.
