Stage 3A Dolomiti Trek King - Viel dal Pan

on a long traverse through breathtaking scenery, at a constant altitude of about 2,400 metres, leads to the Pordoi Pass. This section of the itinerary is called "Viel dal Pan", as it was once the preferred route of the itinerant vendors from Val di Fassa to the Livinallongo hollow. Once reached the Pordoi Pass, it is worthy to take the cable car to Sass Pordoi, the Terrace of the Dolomites. After returning to the Pordoi Pass by cable car, follow the forest track that leads to "Pecol" (otherwise, from the Pordoi Pass go up the grassy saddle to the Fredarola Refuge, continue on the plain towards the Belvedere Refuge and slightly uphill you will reach the top station of the cable car that goes down to "Pecol"). Go back to Canazei by cabin lift. From the village, the walk along the river "Avisio" leads to the locality "Ischia" in Campitello, where you will find the valley station of the cable car that goes up to "Col Rodella" in just a few minutes. Once at the top, walk down along path no. 529 and then take paths no. 557/557-4. With minimal gradients, you reach Sandro Pertini Refuge.

The tour counts 6 stages on well-indicated CAI-SAT paths. From any point, it is possible to descend to the valley and, thanks to the shuttle service, the mountain lifts or the public means, easily get back to the departure.

Number of mountain lifts to take: 3+1 (cabin lift Pecol-Col dei Rossi + cabin lift Canazei-Pecol + cable car Col Rodella + eventual cable car Sass Pordoi ).
