The choir takes its name from the Lubie valley, a side valley of Monte Corno, which in summer is tinged with red thanks to the blossoming of the rhodendrons that cover its slopes. Founded in 1989, the formation has a history of break-ups and reunions until 2010, when the enthusiasm of some former choristers led to the formation of a new group led by Maestro Franco Boschetto. Commitment, passion and team spirit breathed new life into the Fiemmese group, which soon received much acclaim both locally and outside the valley. Today, the band from Varena is made up of around twenty members directed by Maestro Valentino Ceol. The repertoire is classic mountain music, with pieces that tell of war and emigration, but also of country life, carefree life and gallant serenades. Not only research and dissemination of handed-down songs, but also author songs from more recent times.
At 9.15 p.m. in the multi-purpose hall of the "La Gran Ciasa" community building in Soraga. Admission free.
