Wonderful guided loop hike on as yet little-explored paths in the Buffaure area
Programme: when you arrive at "Col de Valvacin" (2,354 metres) by lifts, you will make a brief stop to admire the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites from a 360-degree perspective. Marmolada, Sella, Sassolungo, Sassopiatto and Catinaccio are so close you can almost touch them. Continue along the panoramic ridge trail to "Sela Brunéch" and then to "Col Bel", where you will stop for lunch. Passing by Malga Jumela, you will return to Buffaure following a slightly uphill forest path.
Time and meeting point: every Saturday at 9.30 a.m. at the "Buffaure" gondola valley station. Good walking ability in the mountains is required. Presence of some exposed sections. Excursion for children of at least 8 years of age. Difficulty level: medium. Sports clothing (in layers) and hiking shoes are required. The height difference in ascent is 300 metres, in descent it is 700 metres. Return at approximately 4.30 p.m.
Activity cost: free of charge. Lift ticket and packed lunch paid for by participants. Panorama Pass valid for the gondola and chairlift. Activity cancelled in case of bad weather. Compulsory online registration by 6 p.m. on the previous day.
