Starting from the the St. Nicholas church, the municipal folk band of Telve parades along the main road, which is closed to traffic, until it reaches the events pavilion, where it performs a selection of the most beautiful traditional and modern pieces from its repertoire
The first band formation in Telve, in south-eastern Trentino, was already present between 1923 and 1924, led first by maestro Augusto Cattarozzi and then by maestro Pietro Campestrin, who left a lasting mark. After an interruption in 1939 and a post-war revival, the band joined the band of Borgo, founding the "Banda sociale comprensoriale della Bassa Valsugana". In the 1990s, the band was reborn in Telve thanks to Giulio Pecoraro. The desire was to establish a band that could combine musical tradition with the originality of local folklore. After some time of study and research, the costume was made, a reproduction of the festive dress of the population of Telve in the second half of the 19th century. Two years of rehearsals and on 1 May 1993 the band officially debuted in concert in the municipal theatre. Since then, and under the guidance of Maestro Bernardino Zanetti, it has performed in events collaborating with artists and other musical groups, developed the activity of the youth band, recorded a CD, participated in festivals, national and international competitions, and represented the Trentino, Province of Trento and Municipality in numerous events in Italy and abroad.
In case of bad weather, only the concert will be held in the events pavilion.
