Genoa's summer training camp

Because that’s just how it is here: when the Grifone arrives, it feels like coming back to friends. From 15 to 27 July, Italy’s oldest football club will once again set up base in Val di Fassa, to get ready for the new Serie A season. Their headquarters? As always, the Carlo Benatti Sports Centre in Moena, now a landmark for the Rossoblù’s summer training. The team, led by coach Patrick Vieira, will stay at the Wellness Hotel Dolomia in Soraga. Twelve days to experience intensely, surrounded by the Dolomites: open training sessions just steps away from the fans, matches, meet & greets, events, entertainment. And plenty of passion.

Because here, a training camp is much more than just a training camp.

• It’s living Genoa up close, every single day.
• It’s meeting Badelj, Retegui, Gudmundsson for a photo or an autograph.
• It’s cheering from the sidelines, joining mini football-tennis tournaments, trying target shooting at the Village, letting kids play wearing the Grifone shirt.
• It’s a holiday filled with colours, chants and friendships.

And making all of this possible, as every year, is the precious support of the local "Monti Pallidi" club, together with the coordination of the Val di Fassa Tourist Board, always ready to lend a hand behind the scenes to make every Genoa fan feel… truly at home.

• three official friendly matches - one against an amateur team and two against higher-level sides
