The Rifugio Passo San Nicolò, one of the most popular refuges in the Fassa Dolomites, lies at the head of the Valle San Nicholò at the foot of Col Ombert in the middle of a grassy saddle with sweeping views that is covered with yellow flowers in early summer. Views of the Sella and Marmolada groups reward the effort of the walk up to 2,346 metres above sea level.
