Where the Duron Valley widens - and becomes a little paradise, highly popular and much loved by tourists - is where you’ll find the Rifugio Micheluzzi. The green pastures dotted with little chalets and with the Ruf de Duron stream flowing to the valley are perfect for Alpine walking, mountain biking or relaxing on the grass, but you can also set out from here on more challenging hikes on Sassolungo and Catinaccio. You may get two (pleasant) surprises: the Highland cattle raised on the pastures near the refuge and the minerals in which the area abounds.
