Skiing with an explosive feeling
You immediately realise that there is energy in the air here. You can smell that explosive feeling that only an ancient volcano – just like the slope that bears its name – can convey. From an altitude of 1,922 metres, the track becomes technical, so watch out for the succession of walls with gradients of up to 58%. The same applies to the wild panorama of Cima Undici and Dodici, a reference point along the entire route, which at the end easily takes you back to the village of Pozza.

Technical information
Inaugurated in 2014, the Vulcano at Buffaure is truly an ‘explosive’ slope. After an initial section in common with the red ‘Panorama’, you turn sharply to the right and take this 2km-long direct route, which descends steeply with an impressive 566 m of altitude difference and quickly returns to the cable car departure station in Meida. The piste, which starts from the 1,922 m of Buffaure, is very technical and designed for experienced skiers only, who want to try their hand at an exciting descent and very challenging walls, with average gradients of 30% and peaks of 58%.
