Technical information
The black Tomba slope - 900 m long, with a 300 m vertical drop and gradients of up to 59% - is dedicated to the legendary skier who trained for years in the Ciampedie basin, beneath the shadow of the Catinaccio-Rosengarten. From the very first steep zigzags, it’s evident that this descent is reserved for true snow professionals capable of "taming" the hard-packed snow walls and sudden changes in gradient. In the final section, the slope eases and flows smoothly down to "Pian Pecei" and the valley station of the chairlift that shares its name.
