"The higher one climbs the farther he sees. The farthest one sees the longest dreams": Walter and Jacopo welcome you to the Vallaccia, a small and cozy refreshment built of stone and wood, as therewere once.

At an altitude of 2,275 m and recognizable by red and white shutters, the refuge is located on the high pastures at the foot of the Sas da le Undesc. It can only be reached on foot, starting from Val Monzoni. Fatigue is fully rewarded by the panorama, ranging from the Creste di Costabella to the Vernel and the Marmolada with its imposing south face. The strictly traditional cuisine will conquer you: gnocchi stuffed with apples and speck, pappardelle with venison sauce, homemade tortelli, polenta-spezzatino of roe deer-mushrooms, eggs- potatoes-speck, apple strudel, Linzer cake, whipped cream with berries. Do you want to live an experience out of the ordinary? Arrive at sunset, dine, stop for the night and at sunrise climb to Cima Undici. It will be an emotion that you will remember for a long time!

The refuge is open from mid-June to early October and in winter (reachable on foot with crampons, snowshoes or mountaineering skis; snowmobile transport for a fee).
