Guarded by Sasso di Levante and Punta Grohmann, the refuge is located along the famous Friedrich August trail.
It is dedicated to the President of the Republic Sandro Pertini who loved to travel this route during his stays in Val Gardena. Hikers find themselves in front of a small hut, made of stone and wood, with a panoramic balcony and red shutters. The environment is cosy, warm and welcoming: on the other hand, the good wine is in the small barrel! The soul of the refuge is Omar, a ski instructor, who together with his young and close-knit team will welcome you from breakfast. The kitchen is a real revelation. Simple dishes, made with care, decisive and genuine flavours using local products as much as possible. Imagine sitting on the terrace, holding a steaming cup of berries, the sound of the wind caressing the grass, the silence that descends on the valley, deer and foxes peeking out in the surroundings, the Marmolada that burns at sunset, the crackling of the fire in the stove and a comfortable bed waiting for you in the attic... are you ready for adventure?
