Guarded by Sasso di Levante and Punta Grohmann, the refuge is located along the famous Friedrich August path.
Dedicated to Sandro Pertini, President of the Republic and a great lover of this itinerary during his stays in Val Gardena, the refuge welcomes hikers with its simple and authentic charm. A small stone and wooden hut, with a panoramic balcony and red shutters, which invites you to slow down and breathe in the essence of the mountain. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, just like the saying "good wine is in the small barrel". The soul of the refuge is Omar, a ski instructor, who together with his young and close-knit team will make you feel at home, starting with breakfast. The cuisine is a pleasant surprise: simple but well-groomed dishes, with strong and genuine flavours, made as much as possible with local products.
Imagine sitting on the terrace, a steaming cup of berries tea in your hands. The wind caresses the grass, silence dominates the valley, and deer and foxes sprout in the surroundings. The Marmolada burns at sunset, the fire crackles in the stove, and a comfortable bed awaits you in the attic. Are you ready for adventure?
