From December 2023, star chef Alfio Ghezzi, in Val di Fassa, finds his second home on Passo San Pellegrino. He chooses a place of extraordinary beauty, very high, because the prospect of free mountain flight, together with the cuisine, is his passion. Therefore, he accepts the challenge of cooking at an altitude of 2500 metres, treasuring the raw materials that have always characterised the diet of mountain people, indeed, of those who live in the highlands for real. A kitchen in balance and in harmony with the surrounding landscape that enters the refuge at any time of the day thanks to the large windows. So, immersed in the perspective of the south wall of the Marmolada, of Mount Pelmo, of the Civetta and of the Pale di San Martino, both in summer and in winter, it is possible to enjoy a break of pleasure and well-being all day long, from the moment of breakfast until the snack, right at the arrival of the Col Margherita cable car. Also on the beautiful terrace. After all, "He who climbs higher, sees farther..."!
