A haven of taste where starred cuisine blends with the essentiality of the highlands, with walls of light and Dolomite perspectives, it could only be called InAlto. 

From December 2023, star chef Alfio Ghezzi, in Val di Fassa, finds his second home on Passo San Pellegrino. He chooses a place of extraordinary beauty, very high, because the prospect of free mountain flight, together with the cuisine, is his passion. Therefore, he accepts the challenge of cooking at an altitude of 2500 metres, treasuring the raw materials that have always characterised the diet of mountain people, indeed, of those who live in the highlands for real. A kitchen in balance and in harmony with the surrounding landscape that enters the refuge at any time of the day thanks to the large windows. So, immersed in the perspective of the south wall of the Marmolada, of Mount Pelmo, of the Civetta and of the Pale di San Martino, both in summer and in winter, it is possible to enjoy a break of pleasure and well-being all day long, from the moment of breakfast until the snack, right at the arrival of the Col Margherita cable car. Also on the beautiful terrace. After all, "He who climbs higher, sees farther..."!

Special evenings "Enrosadira" 19 July, 26 July, 2 August, 8 August, 14 August, 23 August, 30 August and 20 September: 

  • aperitif with a view. Aperitif with soft music on the panoramic terrace with a welcome glass and appetizers on arrival. €25 per person, including transport to the InAlto restaurant
  • starred dinner. Two dishes of your choice from the à la cart menu and a dessert. €65 per person. Aperitif package + dinner € 75 per person, including round-trip transport to InAlto restaurant

Ascent time by cable car at 17:45 and 18:15; descent time at 19:45 and 21:45. Meet at the starting station of the Col Margherita cable car. On reservation by 12:00 on the same day.

"El Prosac". Gourmet picnic basket with local cold cuts and cheese, gardener, focaccia and dessert prepared by chef Alfio Ghezzi. Water and soft drink of your choice among the nectars of the "Anthology" line by Alfio Ghezzi. €35 for 2 people. On reservation within the previous day, available in vegan version or for intolerances. Pick up and return the basket and plaid directly to the shelter.
