It will be a truly unforgettable experience and one that the children will adore. How can you pass up a toboggan run at 1700 m altitude, in the presence of the most beautiful peaks of the Dolomites, Catinaccio and Latemar?
On the border between Val di Fassa and Val d'Ega, at the Costalunga Pass, there is this medium-level toboggan run, 1 km long and with an altitude difference of about 126 m. From the top station of the "Hubertus" cabin lift ("Pra di Tori" locality), the track runs mostly parallel to the ski slope and arrives at the start of the lift, where you park your car.
The slope is always impeccably groomed, and if the natural snow isn't enough, the snowmaking system ensures the slopes stay open from mid-December through the end of March. The gondola lift is comfortable and offers a truly breathtaking view during the short ride. Push with your heels, keep your feet firmly planted, balance your body for the curves, and don’t forget to shout “Go!” Ready to speed down the slope? The average descent time is about three minutes.
And after sledding, the children can continue playing in the snow at Kinderland "König Laurin" at the pass, run by the Carezza Ski School (open from 7 December to 30 March from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.).
You can rent sledges, made of metal, at the starting area. We recommend a helmet and ski goggles. Children must be accompanied by an adult. There is a charge for the slope. Single or day tickets can be purchased at the gondola ticket office.
