Arriving in one of the most beautiful places in the Catinaccio group, at the foot of the Roda de Vael, the appetite comes of itself, as does the ability to satisfy it, consuming the genuine dishes of the Baita Pederiva.
The Baita Pederiva can be reached, mainly, from the Carezza Pass, climbing to the top with the Paolina chairlift and then following an easy path, for about 50 minutes, or from Vigo and Ciampedie, in a couple of hours, along "L vial da le feide". The menu, which varies between proposals of Italian cuisine, vegetarian, but above all of Ladin tradition, allows you to choose from the classic chopping board of local cured meats and cheeses, several first including canederli gourmets, and then move on to polenta accompanied by goulash or sausage or, again, game, mushrooms and cheese. Sweets are also worth tasting: strudel, buckwheat cake, berries with yogurt or fresh cream and Kaiserschmarren. The hut, which offers dinners only by reservation, accepts large pets inside and on the terrace.
