From Pozza into the wild Val Monzoni: pastures as far as the eye can see, isolated huts and a single mountain dairy at the end of the valley. Guarding this jewel of nature are Cima Undici and Cima Dodici. From Malga Monzoni you can take the summer path no. 624 towards Vallaccia Refuge (contact the refuge manager before going up). Malga Monzoni can be reached on foot, by snowshoes or ski mountaineering. Possible downhill back by sledge. At the start of the route, there’s a Girsberger Artva checkpoint, allowing mountaineering skiers and snowshoers, equipped with self-rescue equipment, to check the state of their device. The checkpoint also keeps track of the passages, in order to know exactly how many people pass through this route and how many of them have the Artva.
