The Lake of San Pellegrino is placed at the feet of Col Margherita, on a terrain of volcanic rocks, surrounded by a nice wood of tamaracks and pines. It is the pearl of the pass, to be discovered on foot, slowly and in silence. The tour of the Lake of San Pellegrino can be considered the first stage of an easy walk, suitable also for kids, that brings to the wonderful dip of Fuciade and to Valfredda. Quick stop at the Lake of Pozze, behind Hotel Miralago, meeting point during the summer for many fishermen. Do not leave the path, as the lake shores may not be clearly visible due to the snow. Take part in the weekly excursion organised by the Moena Dolomiti Ski School.
Author's advice: This walk is suitable for families with children and is accessible with a baby carrier.
