Walk from the centre of Moena to Penia or Peniola, passing through the characteristic hamlet of Sorte. You arrive in a splendid glade where the San Giovanni Nepomuceno church is found, that contains work by Martino Gabrielli who made this place his home.
of Sorte, walk up to the restaurant Malga Panna. Continue along an easy road until you get out the wood. Cross the meadows surrounding the ancient rural settlement of Penìa (1,470 m). Here you can take a pleasant break at the Malga Peniola, a traditional restaurant run by Michela, Maurizio and their sons. Order the "fortaie"! Return to Moena along the same way.

The walk is feasible also with sport strollers. In this case, you are suggested to reach Malga Panna restaurant by car (free parking available) and to proceed on foot till Malga Peniola.
Author's advice: Penìa can be also reached with trekking strollers and baby carriers. In this case, from Sorte, ascend by car up to Malga Panna restaurant (free parking), and then proceed on foot towards Malga Peniola.
