Hiking from Ciampedìe to the hollow of Gardeccia. You walk in the realm of King Laurin with an exceptional view of the Larséch cliffs, Cima Catinaccio and the austere Dolomite spires of the Vajolet Towers. From Gardeccia Rifugio you can take the summer path no. 546 towards the mountain huts Vajolet and Preuss (closed during the winter), or proceed along track no. 584 up to Principe Rifugio (closed). At "Pian Pecei" there’s a Girsberger Artva checkpoint, allowing mountaineering skiers and snowshoers, equipped with self-rescue equipment, to check the state of their device. The checkpoint also keeps track of the passages, in order to know exactly how many people pass through this route and how many of them have the Artva.
