The ancient road of salt and wine, which linked Campitello to the Alpe di Siusi.
A walk in Val Duron is a great solution if you want to combine majestic Dolomite views with natural curiosities. You can in fact grasp, without too much effort, the monumental spirit of the Dolomites and the natural treasures that this extraordinary geology contains. The valley is entirely passable from Campitello to Passo Duron and then to Rifugio Alpe di Tires with an exciting view of the Teeth of Terrarossa. A journey through time and through the soul of the Dolomites. In fact, there are many fossils embedded in the rocks of this valley and the footprints of animals from the past that have inhabited it. Cavities and caves are treasure troves of precious calcite crystals. On the left of the valley you will be amazed by the curious custodians of the place: the "Friars", squat pinnacles with rounded shapes, ancient memories of a volcanic past, sculpted by time.
