Moena, the "Fairy of the Dolomites", becomes a magical Christmas village with wooden houses, travelling shows, treats and children's carousels
Following Northern European tradition, the "Fairy of the Dolomites" transforms into a real Christmas village, with Christmas markets set up in the squares "Piaz de Ramon", "Piaz de Sotegrava" and "Perla Alpina". From 30 November to 5 January, visitors can stroll through the joyfully illuminated town centre until the late afternoon, warming themselves by small fires and exploring 16 traditional wooden stalls offering artisanal goods and souvenirs to remember their holiday in Moena. Children can enjoy rides on the little train on rails, the horse carousel, and play with woodland elves. They can also watch entertaining shows and join creativity workshops at the "Fiabilandia" park. The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by numerous travelling musical performances, starting with the inauguration on Saturday, 30 November.
How good are you at treasure hunts? Have fun with "Puppy Christmas", a game that takes you on a journey to discover Moena. You’ll search for 8 little woodland animals hiding in the village's most picturesque corners. Information, tickets, and kits are available at the little house of the Moena Events Committee or at the "Fiabilandia" park (€5).
And there's more: on Saturday and Sunday, you’ll have the chance to accompany Santa and his elves in a carriage through the charming neighbourhood of "Turchia" (fee: €3 for adults, €2 for children, from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., departing from the square "Piaz de Ramon").
