Traditional end-of-year torchlight procession, at dusk, with snow professionals descending down the "Le Coste" slope
On the Dolomite pass of San Pellegrino, the last day of the year is also celebrated with a spectacle that combines nature, sport and tradition. When the sun begins to set and the Enrosadira dyes the peaks of Costabella and Col Margherita red, the sky is coloured in spectacular shades. In this muffled scenery, the instructors of the Moena Dolomiti Italian Ski & Snowboard School are the protagonists of a torch-lit descent. At 5 p.m., along the "Le Coste" slope, the procession of skiers traces a luminous path, while the sound of beaten snow resounds in the icy air. A special occasion for skiers and non-skiers, who will be able to watch the spectacle from the departure station of the "Gigante" chairlift,, experiencing together the emotion of a symbolic passage between the old and the new year, under the starry sky of the Dolomites.
