Night ski mountaineering pairs competition from Vigo to Ciampedie
The night ski-mountaineering pair competition, now in its 28th edition, is organised by the sports association "Bela Ladinia" and the "Socors Zenter Fassa" (Alpine Rescue Centre Fassa) in honour of two mountaineering friends from Vigo, Marco Rasom and Tita Weiss, who died in 1991 under an avalanche on Cima Scaliariet, in the Catinaccio group. The start is set, as every year, in the village centre, in front of the Tony Sport shop. From an altitude of 1400 m, the 120 participants, equipped with headlamps, will have to tackle the steep slopes of the Ciampedie, up to an altitude of 2002 m, for a total length of 5 kilometres. The prize-giving ceremony will be held at the end of the event at Baita Checco, where a pasta-party will also be organised for participants.
It is possible to register as an amateur and start, even individually, from 6:00 p.m. onwards, without time check.
