The Living Crib, ricreating the Nativity Scene of the ancient Betlemme, is a mixture of tradition and faith
Combining tradition and faith is the living nativity scene organised by the Events Committee of Vigo in collaboration with the local theatre group "Bontemponi", which re-enacts the Nativity scene in ancient Bethlehem. At dusk, the corner of the multi-purpose building "Ciasa Marmolada" overlooking "Strada de Solar" is transformed into a true open-air theatre to announce the birth of Jesus: a small wooden hut under the large decorated tree, a lit fire, Mary, Joseph, the donkey and the ox by the side of the baby, the farmers, the shepherds with the sheep. A representation that animates the Christmas markets, open until 5 January. It is also possible to visit the other cribs set up on the fountains of the village and the hamlets of Vigo, in an evocative itinerary made even more at sunset.
