Christmas chants’ night with the Genzianella choir from Tesero in the charming little church of San Nicolò in "Media"
In the little church dedicated to the patron saint of Pozza, San Nicolò, the "Genzianella" choir of Tesero offers an evocative concert, interweaving refined harmonies and traditional melodies to bid farewell to the past year and welcome the new one with joy and hope. The intimate and cosy setting will amplify the emotion of the evening, with music echoing through the ancient walls, enveloping those present in an atmosphere of deep spirituality.
The "Genzianella" men's choir of Tesero was founded in 1950 on the initiative of nine friends who are passionate about mountain folk singing and is one of the longest-running ensembles in Trentino. Over the years it has participated in numerous concerts, festivals and competitions outside the region and abroad, presenting a repertoire inspired by the themes of the Great War and emigration in the Fiemme and Fassa valleys. He has even performed in the Vatican's Aula Nervi and in St. Peter's Square in Rome in 2007 and 2008, on the occasion of the exhibition of cribs in Tesero. The focus on Christmas carols led the choir to travel to Nuremberg for the famous Christmas markets. The choir, made up of around thirty members and directed by Maestro Diego Cavada, enthusiastically pursues its activities, convinced of the cultural importance of its work and of the social value of getting together and singing in friendship.
