Discover the magic of Advent and Christmas in Soraga, an enchanting experience amidst lights, cribs, handicrafts, goodness and Ladin traditions
In the park adjacent to the parish church in Soraga, the Christmas market is transformed at nightfall, when the little houses and richly decorated trees are illuminated with soft lights and the atmosphere becomes pure magic. The bell tower, with its soaring profile, rises majestically, creating a truly impressive backdrop that invites you to immerse yourself in the warmth of the festivities. Strolling around, enveloped in the scent of mulled wine and cinnamon, it is easy to be enchanted by artefacts that tell of the tradition of wood, the symbol of Soraga. The skilful hands of local craftsmen have created unique objects, small masterpieces perfect for a Christmas gift or a special souvenir to take home.
The market is open from 6 to 8 December, from 13 to 15 December and from 20 December to 5 January, from 3.30 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., and offers unforgettable moments, with concerts at sunset and engaging activities for all visitors. Children will have fun with wooden games, while for the older ones there will be gastronomic delights to enjoy, such as "fortaie" (typical fried sweets with a characteristic snail shape), chocolate fondue, sausage sandwiches, candy floss and freshly made crepes. The little houses offer a wide selection of gastronomic specialities, together with household items and original accessories that bring with them the flavours and beauty of Val di Fassa. In front of the crackling braziers, you can listen to the tales of the past, experiencing a market that is a real journey into the culture of Soraga, where every moment is filled with charm and authenticity.
