The "Rio Bianco" Choir from Panchià, from the nearby Val di Fiemme, performs an exciting a cappella concert inside the Christmas market to wish all visitors a Happy New Year
What could be more festive than strolling through the markets, accompanied by classic melodies? In Soraga you can experience all this: the authentic spirit of Christmas will envelop you with its lights, scents and the notes of the "Rio Bianco" Choir of Panchià. While you search for the perfect gift among the handcrafted stalls, you can warm yourself up with a glass of mulled wine or apple juice, letting yourself be carried away by the emotions that only music and the climate of this period can give you. And to make the atmosphere truly magical, don't miss the natural phenomenon of the "Enrosadira": at sunset, the peaks of the "Monzoni" and the "Roda de Vael" are tinged with extraordinary shades of orange and purple for a unique panorama that will remain in your heart.
The "Rio Bianco" Choir was founded in 1995 and is directed by Maestro Ivo Brigadoi, a cellist from Predazzo. It consists of around thirty elements: soprano, contralto, tenor, baritone and bass voices. A mixed ensemble is quite unusual for folk singing and, in fact, it is the only case in Val di Fiemme and one of the few in the whole of Trentino. The repertoire is the classic mountain repertoire, with openings to pieces typical of other regions. On the other hand, singing allows one to approach different cultures, both Italian and foreign.
From 5 p.m. at the Christmas markets in Soraga, in the meadow in front of the parish church. Free admission.
